Celebration of Nicholas's 4th Bday June 27,2009

Sam & I were invited to help celebrate Nicholas's 4th Birthday today. Sam was so excited he kept say on Saturday, but hey today was Saturday! Yay! Off we went and we tried something new being on time. I have to say I was alway a punctual person before Sam's arrive and well lets just say not so much but I do try. And guess what were were the first there, well if you don't count grandparents(sorry Mr & Mrs. S). Shortly after our arrival Orson was there with Hugo & Mya. Sam & Hugo hung out with the digger at the playground before the remainder of the guests arrived.
The weather couldn't have been any better the kids were running around having a great time. Michelle planned some great games for all the kids to participate in. A sensational time was had by all!

Father's Day Project 2009

This year for Father's Day I was wondering what I could put together for Darren. When I stumbled upon this link and thought it may be a good little idea. I started my project early as I know the day sneak up on you. And without fail one thing led to another and I was behind. I actually had the construction done just the details and the pictures to add. I actually finished it on Father's day so I guess it counts. Darren will get it when he returns. It is a great little project for kids to do as it is very small. I even enlarged it so it was a 4 x 4 square. The little album is great for Dad's who are away like Darren or even for Dad's to put on their desks.

Early Father's Day June 20,2009

We managed to head back into town in enough time to celebrate and early Father's Day. Darren headed off to work on Sunday so we managed to squeeze in a visit with Dad J. While we were saying our good byes Uncle Gary drove up and Sam's eyes grew bigger as Uncle Gary was driving his collector car. So Sam had to have an good look and try out the stearing wheel and a few pictures.
After our visit there we headed to Dad S's house for a birthday/father's day celebration. Auntie Karen & Sarah were there and we also had a nice visit with Uncle Paul & Auntie Kathy. Mom cooked a tasty and delicious meal followed by a yummy cake with fresh strawberries!

Happy Birthday Dad!
&
Happy Father's Day Darren, Dad J & Dad S!

Enjoy your day!

A little more camping Deception Pass June 17-19,2009

Darren had a few more days off so we managed to head down to Deception Pass for a few days. I can honestly say we love doing this because we can all part take in camping. Even Bronwynne, we don't have to feel like we are leaving a member behind. Sam was in heaven know we were to go away for a few days as he is really enjoying adventuring.
I have to admit it had been many years since I had actually stayed at Deception Pass and I had many memories flooding back to me while I was there. The weather cooperated and we had a lovely time.

Get away @ Cultas Lake June 11-14,2009

After a bit of craziness at our house we headed out for a few days away. We headed back up to Cultas Lake for some camping. When we were there a week before we realized they had a dog area at the beach and well that makes us happy. So we managed to get a spot do a bit of hiking or as Sam refers to it "exploring". Roast some marshmallows, enjoy the great weather and go swimming. I leave the swimming comment to the last as not only did we enjoy swimming, Bronwynne thought this holiday was all about her. She swam for about two hours one afternoon and went swimming again in the evening too. Every night we would walk down to lake, on the first evening we just thought we were going to get our feet wet and Bronny would do a bit a swimming. The next thing I knew Sam was stripping down and wanted to go for a swim, he loved it. So the following evenings we all went down prepared and took and evening dip, it was splendid.
Hope you too had a lovely weekend!

Gardening June 10,2009

We spent the morning in the garden. I was madly weeding the front gardens everything seem to have come alive it is wonderful. It seems many people I have spoken to had lost many plants over the coarse of our crazy winter, but I can honestly say that I think I only lost a couple everything else seems to be thriving.
So while I was busy in the front Darren & Sam tilled up the last bed for me and when I found the two of them they were picking strawberries.
I managed to get a few snaps and I also managed to grab a couple shots of some butterflies mating.

Weekend Fun June 6-8,2009

Our weekend started out with a date for Darren & I. Sam spent the night with Grandma & Papa. Darren & I headed downtown for dinner and a concert at the Malkin Bowl to see Blue Rodeo. We had a marvelous time and really enjoyed our night out.
Saturday's plans started with a little organization and picking up Sam. We made our way to Squamish to have a day out with Thomas. Sam was so excited it is funny to see the genuine glee. We all had a great time and even road the small train that goes around the museum.
Sunday found us at Cultas Lake enjoying Uncle Dale's boat and some great weather but the rest of those pictures are here.

Yes another day @ the beach June 1,2009

On this lovely June day we ventured off to the beach. Bronwynne was long overdue for a good run. We have not been tending to her and she was grately appreciative of the morning running and swimming. The weather has been better than fantastic if you can believe, we have not even started summer and we feel like we are deeply emersed in the throws of summer. WOW, we are truely fortunate to be experiencing such great weather. Alas, here are a few pictures of our morning.
