A few days away April 25-27,2009on

Darren & I decided to try and get away for a few days. We mentioned it to Mom & Dad J and they thought it was a good idea. Needless to say one thing lead to another the RV we(Darren, Sam & myself)planned on driving needs a little bit a of brake work before we will head out on the road. Mom & Dad offered for all of us to pile in their RV so off we went. We were heading off to Ft. Casey ,we couldn't have planned any better weather. Side note our neighbours were kind enough to take Bronwynne and Karen took Mia(Mom & Dad S's dog). Food, laughter and good times were had by all.

Jumping for Joy April 22,2009

We are fortunate to have neighbours that also have a dog. We spend time going to the park on walks or they come over and the dogs run around and burn off spent energy. Today Chris was kind enough to bring Duke over for a little play time. Well one thing let to another and Sam started to kick the soccer ball then Duke wanted to play. Well a little pig in the middle later, Duke was catching some serious air. I bolted inside to grab my camera(I know you thought I would have it by my side, I was surprised too!). I managed to grab a few shots but nothing fantastic. But I will keep trying.

Another way to cut the lawn April 21,2009

Darren & Sam headed out to cut the lawn(now it's their thing) I didn't think anything of it. I can hear the lawn mower start up and all the normal noises. I am keeping myself busy inside you know cleaning up, laundry and vacuuming. I take a glance outside and this is what I see....Sam is having a hay-day rinding in the trailer, Darren had a permasmile on his face. Ahhhh a true Father/Son moment! Oh and just so you don't think we got another dog, we are dog sitting for my parents, that is Mia beside Bronwynne!

Garage Sale April 18,2009

Our Saturday was filled with fun and more fun. I mentioned to some family and friends that I would be having a garage sale as I had a bit more than I remember stashing in all the secret hiding spots. We all ended up coming together to produce quite and array of treasures to be sold. My in laws, sister, sister in law, two girlfriends and a couple of neighbours all participated and if I do say so myself we had a pretty good time. The kids ran around got slightly dirty, laughed and played with the dogs. My sister Karen was kind enough to have her point and shoot with her as there was too many things going on for me to have my camera out so this is where the pictures have come from.

Easter Monday Dinner & Brandon's Birthday April 13,2009

And finally our weekend activities concluded with a second Easter Dinner/Birthday dinner for Brandon. We had a lovely meal and wonderful evening was had by all. Happy Birthday Brandon!

Easter Monday April 13,2009

Most days at our house are filled with an array of routines one of these acts is going to the dog park. Alot of the time we head up to the park with our neighbours and their pooch Duke(aka DukeOluke/DukieDo). Today was not different we headed to the park but I actually brought my camera as it was not pouring out today and snapped a few pictures. You will probably recognize Bronwynne, our chocolate lab. Duke is the other handsome pooch!

Easter Sunday Dinner Part I April 12,2009

We hosted a turkey dinner for my side of the family this Easter. And also invited our nieghbours for a lovely get together. Sunday morning Sam came bounding into our bedroom and announced the the Easter bunny had indeed visited us and he was ready to go on an egg hunt! We managed to get ourselves sorted and head down the hall and collect all the wonderful sweet goodies he had brought. After a well deserved caffeine break we had a little breakfast and headed out in the small down pour for a dog walk. Once we had returned and dried out we managed to clean up and get our dinner on the go. Mom & Dad showed up first followed by Al,Barb & Chris. Karen and Sarah showed up soon after. Eventually dinner did get to the table and dinner was enjoyed by all.

First Cut of the Season April 6,2009

So today's weather brought on more spring fever around here. We have been cleaning and cleaning now we get to move on to yard work yipee! Darren charged up the lawnmower battery and started her up. Sam was excited to help out and put his ear protectors on and away they went!
