We had a chance to help celebrate Nicholas's 3rd Birthday it was a wonderful day. The weather was great and so was the party. The party was a curious George theme and Michelle did a great job on his cake as usual. Thanks for a great day!

Strawberry Jam June 27,2008

So my parents were kind enough to let me know that they were heading to Krause Farm and asked if I would like a flat of strawberries. I was hesitant as I know once you have the berries you must do the work. I finally agreed and got a couple batches of jam that did set!(sorry yours didn't Mom). Darren is in heaven he loves fresh Jam!

If you haven't been to Krause Farm in Langley I highly recommend you go they not only have berries to pick in the appropriate season. They have a little market and a fresh bakery! Yum. And the berry milkshakes are nothing to sneeze at either!

Cutting the Lawn with Dad June 23,2008

Darren has been in heaven with the new lawn tractor. We thought we might be able to get by without one but once the weather started to warm up the lawns kept taking longer to mow. Thus, the new(used) mower. Sam has been apprehensive of getting on the mower but this night he hopped on and wanted to help.

Our adventures down the Oregon coast was a wet and wonderful one. We headed out in anticipation of sun and fun. But just because you want good weather doesn't mean it is going to happen. That's okay though we were fortunate to be in Grandma & Papa's motorhome and it was a dry and warm place to come at the end of our daily outings. We managed to get in a few good hikes. And of coarse the beach, Bronwynne thought she had died and gone to heaven. Sam of coarse reprised his role of "I'm a Digger"(re Maui). So yes the weather could have been better but we had a great time just being together and that is what is was all about!
