Saturday night out! July 28,2007

Now Saturday nights are not what the were in our youth. We are fortunate to be invited by friends to come over and have a wonderful dinner and enjoy each others company. We packed up Sam and visited with the Jacobs and the Greaves on Saturday night. A tasty dinner of spanish rice, fajitas and a crispy salad were served along with some Bellinis'. All the kids did very well. H was getting a taste of the night life as the others were up way past their bedtime. A good time was had by all. An now the pictures....

Blast at the Beach July 25,2007

Yesterdays activities included a morning at White Rock beach with the whole family. It is wonderful that they have a dog section at the beach. Dogs and kids are synonymous with each other it is a wonderful site with the groups of them all playing. So here are few shots from the day.

Da Girlz get together July 20,2007

Today we managed to get most of the girlz together. It was sure nice to see everybody. Even though you may live in the same city there just is not enough time in the day to see everyone all the time so it is at time like this you have to savour the friendships that we do have.

Oh you may notice that my little Sam is not in the group photo he did not want anything to do with it and well this year he can get off the couch and leave! So we have a sideline picture instead.

The last two pictures are from when Grandpa J visited the other day and drove over his old chev truck. Sam was throughly intrested until Grandpa rang the horn. So I got to have a photo shoot with the truck. More to follow once I have edited.

Making Jam July 5,2007

After raspberry picking what do you do. You spend the next morning making JAM of coarse! So after a quick spin on the lawn mower I came in and made a few batches of Jam. Yummy as Sam would say.

Raspberry picking and backyard shanagins July 4,2007

Yesterday we managed to go berry picking. We did invite Auntie Donna and the kids but they were unable to join us. They did however offer to care for Sam while we went picking. So we invited M & D J with us. After filling every last basket we brought with us. We left with a heafty bill and not many stains.

In the warmth of the afternoon Sam toddled around the yard playing with Bronwynne and enjoying the summer day!

Well after numerous hours and alot of shear labour our upstairs bathoom is complete. Darren has become the master of all in this process as in others. He has a drive to learn and do this all himself. We did have help when he took the old tub out and the new one in. Dad Jarvis was kind enough to lend a hand. I am very proud of all Darrens' effort the completed project speaks for itself, or just to me at least. I feel that we are with the correct era and can be for a numerous many years to come!

And the sun does shine! June 26,2007

Sam, Bronwynne & I headed out to the backyard to hang out. We played fetch, watched the airplanes and helicopters and even weeded the garden. We even managed to pick some strawberries,raspberries and a few peas. See with some TLC we can all have gardens.

Hope you all had a chance to enjoy some of that sunshine before it disappeasr again.

Father's Day BBQ

Today we celebrated Father's Day with a BBQ. I think everyone had a nice time the food was consumed so usually that is a good indicator. We have been lucky as Darren was able to home for the occasion. I hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating their Fathers. Mine is on an Alaskan cruise and we will have to raise our glasses to him when he returns.

We had a wonderful get together at Jodi & Jim's place. We celebrated Jodi & Mark birthday's and were able to have a chance to catch up with each other.

Sam's first camping trip Fort Casey WA June 4-6,2007

We all had our first camping trip together. I have to say we were hoping to get out last year but this was it. We headed down to the states to do a little shopping due to the good exchange rate then we headed to Fort Casey, WA which is right by the Port Townsend ferry terminal. We had an enjoyable time and Sam did remarkably well. We all fit in the tent and the weather even decided to hold off so we were able to have dry trip.

Oh you may be wondering about the foot shot. When Darren & I were dating in yesteryear. We had done this shot so it was a recreated moment at Deception Pass.

A year an a half today June 4,2007

Well how time flies. Today Sam celebrates being a year and half old. He so perfectly fits in our family like he has been here a lifetime. Everyday there is joy and challenges but we are enjoying it all. When people say it just keeps getting better it really does. New days bring new experiences and fullfilment. We are trying to mimic many word. Some of the highlights are hearing Sam tell Bronwynne she is a "good girl", and to "sit down". The little things are when dinner is being served and he is running towards his chair yelling "yum-yum".

We hope that you all get to savour the little things that your days bring.

One day home May 30,2007

Yesterday Darren was home for one day so the boys went for a haircut at Raff's, Sam didn't have as much fun getting his as when he was watching Daddy.
After we headed back home we stopped off at Douglas Park to show Daddy all the slides that we go on. Then we walked back home and hung out in the backyard to continue to enjoy the sunshine.
